Qualifications:

• A cosmetology/barber license is required for this position

• Existing clientele or ability to take clients immediately

• Experience with haircutting, basic styling, & various hair coloring techniques

• Pleasant personality & attitude to cultivate strong client/stylist relationships

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• The intention of Studio Process is to become a safe, cohesive environment - think less of a “team” or “family,” more of an “ecosystem”

• Strong listening & verbal communication skills

• Social media presence & basic ability to market yourself to new clients

Responsibilities

• Performing hair styling, cutting, and/or coloring

• Building personal and professional rapport with guests

• Providing professional product recommendations

• Meeting sales & productivity goals

• Attending education events & independently seeking advanced education

• Assisting in house work around the salon

  • sweeping, mopping, sanitizing & disinfecting implements & surfaces, bathroom, laundry, dishes, etc.

• Expressing yourself through your personal style while maintaining professionalism & cleanliness

• Respectful communication with all guests and staff

• Shampooing each clients hair

• Reception duties for each client

  • checking out services & products, scheduling clients, welcoming guests upon entry

Studio Process Hair Salon is meant to be a space that evolves. It is a place for hair artists to come together to make all guests feel as beautiful, relaxed, rejuvenated, and safe as our abilities allow. At this stage of the hiring process, I am looking for someone who is comfortable working in a more independent environment. With this independence, comes the ability to choose your own schedule, take unlimited time off, and set your own rate for services. As the salon grows, the potential for more responsibility could become available if that is of interest to applicants.
